Description:
We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our manufacturing team located in Lake Forest, California. As the Accounting Manager/Supervisor, your primary role will be to oversee the financial operations and reporting for our manufacturing division. This includes managing budgeting processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and driving financial performance improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the manufacturing division, adhering to GAAP.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, and overhead, to provide insights into cost control and reduction strategies.
- Lead the budgeting process, including developing and managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and identifying variances between actual and budgeted figures.
- Manage inventory accounting, including valuation, reconciliation, and control. Ensure proper costing methods are applied and conduct regular inventory audits.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure the accuracy of financial data, and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy, and support operational excellence within the manufacturing division.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of productivity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to understand financial implications of production activities, support strategic decision-making, and address financial issues.
- Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, BlackLine, and Concur, along with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to streamline accounting functions.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, auditing, and billing functions.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
- Experience with BlackLine and Concur
- Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Ability to manage Accounting Functions effectively
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience in Auditing
- Proficiency in managing Billing Functions
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Relevant managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and dependability
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
