Description:

We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team based in Midland, Texas. This role involves overseeing a team to manage essential finance and accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team to ensure accurate and timely production of financial information.
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports and statements.
  • Implement and maintain financial and accounting systems, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Develop strategies for monitoring financial performance.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Proficiently use Business Central software for all accounting tasks.
  • Liaise with auditors, providing necessary information and reports, and implementing their recommendations.
  • Supervise, train, and manage a team of accounting staff members.
  • Facilitate and manage the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Strong understanding of Accounting Functions
  • Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Ability to manage Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Knowledge of Auditing best practices
  • Experience with Billing Functions
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding business operations, tax filings, and reporting
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to adapt to new software and platforms quickly.
