Accounting Manager/Supervisor

We are looking for a proficient Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team based in San Luis Obispo, California. In this role, you will manage and supervise all project accounting and billing operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will also act as a liaison between various departments, maintain client interactions, and implement process improvements.

• Supervise and manage all project accounting and billing operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead the Billing team, providing training, development, and performance management.
• Prepare and distribute monthly reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain interactive project reporting on dashboards.
• Coordinate with project managers and other key stakeholders to meet billing and financial performance goals.
• Act as the primary liaison between the billing cycle and finance departments.
• Manage the implementation of new products and processes.
• Conduct quality audits in billing to ensure best practices and timely account resolutions.
• Interact with clients professionally and courteously, understanding how performance reflects on the company’s reputation.
• Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of projects in accounting software, including budgeting and tracking.
• Review contracts to ensure compliance with accounting software setup.
• Serve as an accounting software and technical expert, managing software updates and new module integrations.
• Possess proficiency in ADP - Financial Services
• Have a comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Auditing procedures is required
• Knowledge of Project Accounting is essential
• Proficiency in Deltek software
• Ability to perform Account Analysis
• Proven experience in Budgeting
• Should be able to manage a team and supervise work
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields
• CPA or similar certification would be a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
