Description:
Robert Half is working with a local company who is offering an opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be tasked with a variety of functions such as overseeing all aspects of an accounting and admin department, managing financial statements and analysis reports, among others. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the organizations financial department and the accuracy of their financial data. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications and maintenance of customer credit records.
- Manage and lead system conversions and integration, addressing and resolving any issues arising from conversion and data transfer.
- Conduct regular inventory system checks, control, and schedule physical counts to ensure accuracy.
- Track and maintain Fixed Assets and depreciation.
- Prepare budgets and monitor their implementation.
- Develop and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to efficiently account for company transactions for accounting and operations teams.
- Provide accounting guidance to management and staff, targeting and resolving report errors and workflow issues.
- Oversee monthly closing/financial statements/audit processes, including reconciliation and analysis.
- Responsible for tax preparation, audit preparation with schedule narratives, and ad-hoc reports.
- Interface with IT to automate financial accounting information and reporting in accordance with GAAP and variance analysis.
- Act as the point of contact for accounting issues and maintenance of successful relations with bank contacts and communities.
- Possess expertise in Cash Management, including preparing and filing researched federal, state, county, and local taxes.
