Accounting Manager - Term

Southeast Collegiate is the only school of its kind in all of Canada. It serves as a campus to First Nations students during the school year – educating students in a beautiful school facility and providing housing in the adjoining lodge.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to cover a 14-month maternity leave. In this critical role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. You will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate, Diploma or degree in accounting required
• Experience with year-end audit preparation and support.
• Experience with GST rebate reporting for CRA.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Efficient time management and handling deadlines.
• Excellent Communication: Verbal, written, and interpersonal.
• Clear Criminal Record: Pass a background check to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.
• Experience working with First Nation communities
