Accounting Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will be overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department. Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing all financial processes including journal entries, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, accounts receivable and daily and monthly cash disbursements and receipts. Your ultimate goal would be ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial management. In order to succeed in this role, you must have the ability to solve problems and lead our company’s accounting team. You must also possess the ability to develop detailed financial forecasts and reports by using your excellent analytical skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with individuals inside and outside of the organization.

· Excellent analytical skills
· Good working knowledge of computers, including expertise in manipulating spreadsheets.

EDUCATION:

· Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or
· 3-5 + years related experience and/or training in multi-family accounting; or
· Equivalent combination of education and experience
· Government/Non-Profit experience Equipment and Software:
· Experience with Accounting for affordable housing programs
· 5+ Years’ experience with Yardi software
· Paychex payroll Software
· Computer with Internet and email capabilities
· Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Google Apps products (email, calendar, docs, etc.)

LICENSES/CERTIFICATION:

· CPA certification preferred, but not required.

Pay: $89,500.00 - $96,000.00 per year
