Description:
Daybar is North America’s largest independently owned manufacturer of steel doors and frames. Utilizing the industry’s most advanced automated manufacturing processes, Daybar supplies projects ranging from commercial to complex industrial applications.
Daybar is currently recruiting a well-rounded Accounting Operations Manager to manage a team of 4 direct reports. This role will report to the Controller.
This job requires the candidate to commute to our offices at 50 West Drive in Brampton from Monday to Friday.
The ideal candidate has an accounting designation, experience overseeing A/R, A/P, payroll, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, cost accounting, implementing and monitoring financial controls, reviewing multi-company and multi-currency transactions in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The Accounting Operations Manager will have participation in the ERP implementation.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum experience of 2 years as an Accounting Operations Manager.
- Minimum manufacturing industry experience of 2 years, with strong knowledge of purchase order, receipts, and invoice entry.
- Experience in bills of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost accounting.
- Experience with Acumatica ERP SaaS software with a strong knowledge of the accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase orders, inventory, sales orders, banking, general ledger and fixed assets.
- CPA in good standing.

Responsibilities:
- Full cycle accounting experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, intercompany, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Review and approve vendor invoices from all 6 locations.
- Complete the month-end close on time with quality and according to the company’s policies.
- Prepare and post journal transactions in the general ledger.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet and intercompany transactions.
- Implement, document, manage, and maintain internal control and accounting policies to ensure standardized accounting records across all plants.
- Manage tax filing processes to ensure compliance with corporate tax, HST and other government reconciliations and remittances.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and customer cash postings.
- Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for improvement and participate in the deployment of new modules and processes
- Provide training and resolve questions arising from the use of the ERP system to all accounting teams across all locations.
- Collaborate with our ERP implementation team to migrate financial information timely and accurately.
- Coach and guide the accounting team.
- Other duties as required.
