Accounting Specialist

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. This role is situated in the accounting industry and involves a variety of tasks including maintaining records, processing applications, and resolving inquiries.

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
• Maintain and update customer credit records consistently.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Perform month-end close activities with precision and timeliness.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary action when required.
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain an organized system of accounting information.
• Adhere to industry standards and company policies in all accounting processes.
• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of two years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Experience in conducting month-end close activities
• Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
