Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team located in Camarillo, California. The role will primarily involve maintaining and improving efficiency within our financial operations, with a specific focus on accounts payable and receivable. This is a long-term contract role that will provide the opportunity to contribute to our financial strategy and systems.

• Undertake month-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Manage accounts payable and receivable operations to ensure transactions are processed and recorded promptly
• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency
• Conduct regular account reconciliation to verify transaction details and ensure financial records are accurate
• Support the resolution of financial discrepancies by investigating documentation and adjusting entries
• Assist with billing functions to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
• Leverage ADP - Financial Services to manage payroll and other financial services
• Collaborate with the team to manage workload and meet financial deadlines
• Utilize bilingual skills to support diverse customer inquiries and improve customer satisfaction
• Stay updated with the latest technology to improve accounting functions and operations.
• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Ability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in performing Billing Functions
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar role
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus
• Willingness to continuously improve and stay updated with new trends and regulations in finance and accounting.
