REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Business or Accounting/Finance required or equivalent education, training, and work experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook with intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales tax compliance. Generates and reconciles monthly and quarterly sales tax reports to the General Ledger. Works with Vertex to review and approve sales tax returns. Handles any government notices.
  • Perform the daily bank reconciliation for the US-Deposit account.
  • Process FedEx invoices and manage timely on-line payments.
  • Handles cash management of excess funds for the Canada bank account.
  • Prepares invoice payment selection and initiates wire payment to pay Home Office invoices.
  • Handles cash receipts for Lockbox account.
  • Prepare month end chargebacks to Home Office.
  • Responsible for annual Sunshine Act template completion.
  • Perform monthly Fixed Asset cycle count.
  • In charge of managing weekly warehouse cycle counts.
  • Process cash receipts for all bank accounts on certain days of the week.
  • Works collaboratively with various departments as needed.
  • Performs other miscellaneous month end close responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
