Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in month-end processes (data entry and file management, maintaining and controlling certain routine and period-end accounting entries, producing tracking tables and data analysis, and ensuring the accuracy of reconciliations);
- Prepare the monthly departmental expense report;
- Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile certain accounts;
- Reconcile physical inventory with accounting inventory;
- Process monthly government tax remittances for multiple companies;
- Produce other specific and customized reports, monthly and on request;
- Complete Statistics Canada reports as needed;
- Assist in preparing the year-end audit file and external audits;
- Ensure the application and compliance with Canadian accounting policies and procedures;
- Participate in various projects as needed;
- Other related tasks
