JOB SUMMARY

Based at our Head Office In Hurstpierpoint, BN6 9GL. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation, ensuring that all accounting tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with Xero.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in accounting software Xero is essential
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Previous experience in financial services or a related field is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and documentation.
  • Utilise accounting software Xero, to manage financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing necessary journal entries.
