Description:
Connexus are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Clerk on behalf of our client in the Dungiven area. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, experience with accounting software, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining confidentiality.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: At least 3 years in an accounting or similar role.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Attention to Detail: Strong numerical skills and accuracy in data entry.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies efficiently.
- Confidentiality: Must handle financial data with discretion and integrity.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a finance or accounts department.
- Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., IATI) is advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and spreadsheets.
- Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations and company policies.
- Handle queries regarding financial transactions and provide support to internal teams.
- Perform other administrative and clerical duties as required.
