A position has become available in the Finance Department at the Century City Office, Cape Town for an Accounts Controller,to be part of a dynamic finance team in a listed multinational company environment, with a primary focus on ensuring the effective and efficient operations of the ‘engine room’ of the finance department. This will entail being part of a team that is responsible for all debtors, creditors, ops expenses (including credit card transactions, cash claims and travel), and turnover declarations (franchise fees, concessions). The role will primarily be focused on debtors (credit controller).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Tertiary qualification (degree, diploma) in Accounting or Equivalent
• Highly recommended: At least three years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge and exposure
• Basic understanding of indirect tax legislation
• Good knowledge of systems and financial controls (policies and processes)

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

• Intermediate MS Excel skills
• Understand and familiar with ERP systems, capturing and reports
• Numerical acuteness and analytical and problem-solving skills and interact with all levels within the organisation
• Written, telephonic and verbal communication - strong interpersonal skills - Empathetic approach to people
• Must be able to interact with all levels within the organisation - Internal and external
• Time management skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Good presentation skills
