JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to internal promotion, our Dunedin-based finance team are on the search for an Accounts Officer. If you have the skills required and are keen to join an international mining company, apply now!

This position will assist with the timely and accurate processing of payment runs for all OceanaGold (New Zealand) suppliers. Additionally, it will support with clerical accounting duties as required by the Senior Financial Accountant in order to support the profitable and efficient production of gold.

  • Manage creditor payments and invoices to ensure accurate coding of payments and that payment timing is in line with the company credit criteria;
  • Ensure that invoices are matched to purchase orders and any variances are followed up;
  • Manage the preparation of payment runs, ensuring appropriate authorisation is received;
  • Reconcile supplier statements to ensure Creditor balances are correct and up to date
  • Carry out all other Accounts Payable related duties that may reasonably be required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full and Current Driver Licence.
  • Previous payroll administration experience using computerised software (knowledge of Pronto and Redmap would be an advantage)
  • Intermediate Level in MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • 2 years of experience in an accounts position including knowledge of debtors/creditors preferred
  • Proficient with numerical data entry with a high level of accuracy
