Accounts Officer (Payables)

THE VACANCY

We are seeking an Accounts Officer (Payables) to join the College’s Accounts Team. You will undertake a range of duties to ensure the smooth operation of our purchase ledger and other expenditure related accounting while following College procedures.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, and taking instruction from the Management Accountant, the role-holder will ensure that all purchasing adheres to best practice and guidelines.
This vacancy has arisen due to retirement of the current post-holder after 22 years of service with the College. The Accounts team consists of six staff members, who have an average length of service of 12 years with the College.
This role is part-time hours 30 hours per week. It is preferred, but not essential, that the hours are split over 5 days (Monday-Friday). The role also offers up to one day a week working from home.
The College would be open to financially supporting the post-holder to undertake their AAT studies and this should be discussed at interview if required.
