Accounts Payable Accountant

Robert Half is partnering with a growing firm who is hiring an Accounts Payable Accountant it be an integral member of the Accounting team. The AP Accountant will be based in Saint Charles, Missouri. As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will be tasked with the accurate processing and coding of invoices, account reconciliation, and participating in month-end closing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced environment.

• Accurately enter and process invoices, ensuring they are coded correctly.
• Conduct invoice and account reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
• Analyze invoices to identify and resolve discrepancies both internally and externally.
• Participate actively in month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Utilize tools such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP to sort and manipulate large volumes of data.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Use SAP for data entry and invoice processing.
• Perform check runs to ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
• Maintain accounts payable by accurately recording incoming invoices.
• Use your skills in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure the smooth running of our financial operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table)
• Strong skills in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices
• Proven ability to perform Data Entry tasks with high accuracy
• Familiarity with Invoice Processing procedures and techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Close attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
