Reporting to the Finance Lead, the Accounts Payable Administrator role will be part of a high-performing project team that is dedicated to delivering this complex undertaking through collaboration and a best-for-project vision.
This position is located in Toronto, Ontario.

What you’ll be working on

  • Review and process high volume of invoices and expense reports
  • Follow up with project managers, project accounting teams, other departments and vendors to ensure issues with invoices are resolved and payments are processed in a timely manner
  • Accurately record costs in the accounting system
  • Adhere to corporate policies and procedures (including the Levels of Authority and Delegation) especially those that relates to the purchase, payable and payment business cycle
  • Understand and handle Inter-company transactions in a complex organization structure
  • Handle vendor inquiries
  • Assist the finance team in monthly account reconciliations for the accounts payable related accounts
  • Other related responsibilities as required

What we are looking for:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prior experience in handling accounts payable in a project based company
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
  • Proficient in MS Office applications with strong Excel skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks, effective time management skills and able to meet deadlines
  • Adaptable and flexible in taking on new tasks and responsibilities
  • Experience with JD Edwards financial system an asset
  • Organized, self-motivated, team player as well as an individual contributor
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accustomed to a fast-paced environment
