WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are actively seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our dynamic finance team based in Brisbane.

Specifically, we’re looking for people who have:

  • 1+ years’ practical experience in an operational finance role.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Australian payroll is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities.
  • Understanding and knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter invoices into the accounts processing system to ensure appropriate recording and collation.
  • Maintaining and organising supplier records, including filing and updating relevant information.
  • Thoroughly checking and verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Auditing and processing credit card bills in accordance with company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Addressing and promptly responding to vendor inquiries and requests.
  • Investigating and resolving account discrepancies and instances of non-compliance in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in general accounting tasks, including the preparation of balance sheets and profit and loss reconciliations to support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Provide support to the Financial Controller and offer coverage during the absences of other team members to ensure smooth operations
