Description:
We are a well-established property management company in Burnaby, BC, dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. We manage a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and strata properties and are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices, ensuring accuracy, coding, and timely payment
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions
- Process weekly cheque runs and electronic payments
- Communicate with vendors, property managers, and internal teams regarding invoice approvals and payment status
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in accounts payable or accounting, preferably in property management
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP procedures
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Infotracker) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with strata or rental property accounting is an asset
- Fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
