Description:

OVERVIEW

Wigwamen Incorporated is seeking an experienced “Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk”.
The successful candidate will work 2 days (14 hours) a week at Head Office (23 Lesmill Road, Suite #106, Toronto) and will report directly to the Financial Controller.

SKILLS

  • Education: College degree concentrating in accounting, business, finance, or similar field
  • Experience: Over 5 years of experience in accounts payable
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of NewViews an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process invoices, ensuring accurate coding.
  • Prepare cheques, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
  • Prepare entries for all intercompany payments.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and follow up on outstanding invoices with contractors\suppliers.
  • Respond to staff inquiries on invoices and payments.
  • Provide listing of invoices to consultants on construction projects.
  • Prepare accounts payable year-end accruals.
  • Prepare billings to funders.
  • Process cash postings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
