Here’s how an Accounts Payable Clerk for the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project contributes to our team:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in office administration or accounting program considered an asset.
  • 1-2 years of progressive experience in an accounts payable role or equivalent technical experience. Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and high level of being detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge/experience with Oracle, Enterprise One Software is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and verifying invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to inputting into the accounting system.
  • Processing vendor payments and performing payment cycles to meet payment terms.
  • Updating purchase orders and receivers with accurate cost codes.
  • Preparing the new vendor verification paperwork.
  • Handling vendor inquiries or correspondence.
  • Processing employee expense statements by receiving and verifying expenses.
  • Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Other administrative duties as required.
