Description:
We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk in the hi-tech engineering industry, based in New York. This role involves managing accounts payable duties in a dynamic workplace. This offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the processing and validation of invoices efficiently
- Oversee the accounts payable function and ensure all financial deadlines are met
- Utilize NetSuite and bill.com for various accounting tasks
- Manage and resolve any accounts payable issues that arise
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Continuously improve and maintain the company’s accounts payable process
- Collaborate with other members of the finance team to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in other accounting tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards
- Handle customer inquiries related to accounts payable.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) practices and procedures
- Experience with invoice processing and payment follow-ups
- Familiarity with NetSuite and bill.com for managing financial transactions
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams
- Knowledge of standard bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Willingness to adhere to all company-specific financial procedures and policies
- Comfortable working in a hi-tech engineering environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for financial reporting.
