Description:
We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the insurance industry, located in Dallas, Texas, United States. This role involves overseeing and managing all transactions related to accounts payable in a highly organized and detail-oriented manner. This opportunity offers a long-term contract employment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the processing and coding of vendor invoices.
- Ensure vendor files are properly maintained and updated.
- Issue payments to vendors in a timely manner.
- Handle the scanning and filing of vendor payments.
- Maintain an updated legal expense tracking spreadsheet.
- Manage employee allocations for vendor payables.
- Oversee the Trades Payable email inbox and ensure all emails are responded to.
- Assist with insurance carrier Accounts Payable as assigned.
- Review and distribute incoming emails and faxes sent to the general accounting mailbox.
- Handle any other assigned accounting responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to handle high volume invoice processing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software, preferably within the insurance industry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
- Previous experience in an insurance industry setting is a plus.
