Description:
We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Henrico, Virginia. In this role, you will be key in managing our financial obligations and ensuring smooth transactions with our vendors. Your responsibilities will not only include processing invoices and managing our accounts payable mailbox, but also handling vendor and staff inquiries with utmost professionalism and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Process received purchase orders and vendor invoices with accuracy
- Manage the Accounts Payable mailbox and respond promptly to vendor and staff inquiries
- Ensure all discounts are efficiently captured and applied
- Handle the receiving of Direct Ship orders and forward sales orders for customer billing
- Report sales of agency and non-agency sales to required vendors and address all inquiries and adjustments
- Work closely with inventory management for efficient processing of invoices for Agency sales
- Oversee freight and non-inventory accounts payable
- Handle other financial department processes as required
- Ensure excellent time management with attention to deadlines and due dates
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for navigating and managing spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP)
- Experience in check runs and coding invoices
- Strong data entry skills
- Ability to process invoices efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Oracle and QuickBooks
- Knowledge of SAP
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
