Accounts Payable Manager

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. The role involves managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, including processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and resolving payment discrepancies. This position is a short term contract employment opportunity.

• Oversee the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
• Manage electronic funds transfer (EFT) processing.
• Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure all procedures are up-to-date and compliant.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of all accounts payable transactions.
• Manage and resolve any issues or discrepancies in invoice processing.
• Implement and oversee the use of Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics for accounts payable management.
• Process and reconcile account transactions, resolving any discrepancies.
• Manage the 3-way match process for vendor payments.
• Oversee the auditing of large prepaid items such as insurance and audit fees.
• Handle the resolution of invoice errors or queries, maintaining high levels of customer service.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
• Demonstrated experience in Account Reconciliation
• Proven ability to prepare Process Documentation
• Familiarity with EFT - Electronic Funds Transfer
• Experience with System Implementation in a financial setting
• A track record of Business process improvement and Process Improvement
• Proficiency in MS Great Plains Accounting and MS Great Plains Dynamics
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in a managerial role in the field of Accounts Payable is preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures and general accounting principles
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
