Description:
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager in Palo Alto, California, to support our growth within the medical devices industry. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including leading system enhancements, supporting automated invoice processing, and preparing monthly-end accrual journal entries. The client will also consider consultants that are proficient with Coupa. This role is onsite 2 days/week and 3 days/week remote.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the integration of the procure-to-pay module within the system
- Support the automated processing of invoices to ensure efficiency
- Prepare and review Vendor Account Statements to maintain financial accuracy
- Prepare month-end accrival journal entries to keep accurate financial records
- Use Concur, Coupa, and other software to manage accounts payable and general ledger entries
- Design and implement systems to enhance accounts payable processes
- Manage teams and lead initiatives to support organizational growth and expansion in the medical device industry
- Resolve customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts for necessary action
- Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate customer credit records and handle accrual accounting tasks.
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
- Proficiency in using Concur, Coupa, and other financial systems
- Thorough understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accrual Accounting
- Proficient in handling vendor statements
- Experience in system design related to financial processes
- Knowledge of General Ledger management
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- Relevant certification such as Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) is a plus.
