The Position
The Accounts Payable SME will provide day-to-day operational support to the Accounts Payable Team and respond to all financial/fiscal function queries/requests.
This role will provide expertise and advice to the Accounts Payable Team Analysts, to enable them to deliver consistently high standards on daily key Accounts Payable activities within the RSS.
The AP SME will support the Accounts Payable Team with transactional activities during periods of high work volume if needed.
Works within the Accounts Payable Team to improve the processes and system to increase the department’s efficiency based on best practices. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated team player with an entrepreneurial spirit who is self-motivated. It will work closely with the affiliate to support local vendors and customers.
It will play an active role in improving the performance of the Shared Service Center.

A. Daily work coordination & performance monitoring,

  • Daily/weekly/monthly performance reporting to the line manager,
  • Execute daily processing work in their business area
  • Ensure the service quality and compliance in the responsible area

B. A timely and effective response to local customers and vendors

C. Arrange the necessary training

  • AP end-to-end processes,
  • Tax and WH/TX LATAM,
  • learning path,
  • Track knowledge gap & assess refreshing process trainings ,
  • Ensure the process training for the new team members as per learning path.

D. Identify and implement efficiency improvements in systems and processes
E. Coordinate with IT Support Teams on process change & improvement
F. Participate in Global Roche Best Practice Sharing workshops on behalf of SSC, as well as in any other additional project due to business or process improvement requirements
G. Create and Maintain SOPs
H. Receive, analyze and resolve tax inquiries from the AP Team and the Affiliate

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 or 5 years minimum of Accounts Payable experience is required
  • Graduated or finishing a career related to accounts, administration ,etc.
  • Fluent English is required
  • Portuguese is a plus
  • SAP ERP large experience is required
  • Full cycle of Accounts Payable experience
  • Must be hands-on, organized, detail-oriented, teamwork, analytical skills, accurate, and have strong multi-tasking skills
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Should demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact professionally with internal and external customers, with great customer service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work within a team to achieve the team’s specific and overall goals
  • General accounting knowledge is desirable
  • Teamwork, achieving results, strategic agility
