Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week
Reports to: Accounts Payable Manager
Location: Leek Foods UK
Salary: £24,000 to £27,000 depending on experience

Are you an AP Specialist looking for the challenge of taking a mission driven organisation to its next level of success?
Ornua is actively seeking an AP Specialist to join our Accounts Payable team as we continue our growth trajectory. As our next AP Specialist, you will play a key role in; supporting the Accounts Payable Manager in managing the Accounts Payable ledger for Ornua Foods UK.
The Accounts Payable team provide financial, administrative, and clerical services to the local business. This includes processing invoices, administering payments, and reconciling supplier statements on a timely basis and to a high degree of accuracy. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that finances are accurate and up to date and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

Responsibilities:

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for leading on;
Daily processing of stock and non-stock invoices
Verify automated 3-way matching of purchase invoices
Raise debit notes where credits have not been received.
Resolving invoice and purchase order discrepancies with suppliers and managers across the organisation.
New Supplier set-up and amendments
Preparation of Accounts Payable Month End reporting.
Supplier statement reconciliations
Assist in weekly supplier payments
Provide insight into potential issues with suppliers, potential risks on invoicing and possible improvements.
Other ad-hoc duties and reporting requirements as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

Practical experience in an Accounts Payable role
Experience of working with an ERP system, such as Infor, SAP, Sage
Practical experience of Microsoft office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Adaptable and flexible to change with a willingness to learn and challenge to drive continuous improvement
