Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a meticulous and diligent Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Irvine, California. In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining and updating financial records, and managing the overall accounts payable process. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing a chance to gain a wealth of experience in the telecom industry.

• Process, verify, and reconcile invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipt reports
• Handle approximately 250 invoices on a weekly basis
• Utilize accounting software systems such as Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for daily operations
• Proficiently use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Carry out regular accounting functions and manage accounts payable
• Oversee check processing and data entry tasks
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in invoices and payment processes
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments for smooth financial operations.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) software
• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 system
• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Check Processing
• Proficiency in Data Entry
• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies in financial records.
