Description:
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Seattle, Washington. The individual selected for this role will oversee all aspects of accounts payable, manage company credit card programs, and assist with various financial tasks within our team.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring bills are coded, verified, and paid in accordance with set policies and procedures.
- Investigate any payment or invoicing issues and formulate solutions which may include requesting stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
- Keep accounts payable aging report up to date.
- Scan all AP invoices and check documents.
- Maintain vendor files, including W-9 and 1099 forms.
- Process daily receipts to customer accounts and work with the Accounts Receivable Accountant to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain the AR deposit log and prepare the weekly bank deposit.
- Calculate and process monthly accruals assigned and maintain supporting documentation.
- Administer all aspects of the company credit card program, including establishing and maintaining appropriate credit limits and providing accurate information to the bank.
- Prepare reconciled monthly bank reports in a timely manner.
- Fulfill audit requests as required and manage archived accounting documentation files.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the financial operations department.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and methodologies.
- Proficient in using MS Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Ability to code invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Experience in 3 Way Matching.
- Understanding and ability to manage accruals.
- Skilled in Credit Card Reconciliation.
- Experience in Expense Reporting.
