Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our logistics team located in Los Alamitos, California. In this role, you will report to the Accounting Manager and provide crucial support to the Accounts Payable team and various accounting and operational functions. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

• Accurately and efficiently processing invoices and issuing payments.
• Maintaining and organizing all Accounts Payable related documents.
• Ensuring all documentation and approvals are in place before issuing payments.
• Maintaining various Excel schedules and conducting statement reconciliations.
• Communicating effectively with both internal and external parties to resolve concerns.
• Reviewing and analyzing vendors for Accounts Payable meetings.
• Upholding the company’s core values of Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Excellence, and Safety.
• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning tools to manage accounting functions.
• Leveraging skills in Account Coding, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, and Automated Clearing House (ACH) to ensure efficient operations.
• Regularly auditing Accounts Payable processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of Account Coding.
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.
• Must be skilled in using Concur for expense management.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must.
• Should be capable of handling various Accounting Functions.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is required.
• Must have a strong understanding of Accrual Accounting.
• Auditing skills are essential for this role.
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is desirable.
