Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in New York. This role is set within our dynamic team and plays a crucial part in overseeing the entire AP cycle.

• Oversee the whole accounts payable cycle to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Utilize SAP and Blue Cherry Software for various accounting functions
• Process customer credit applications with attention to detail
• Keep up-to-date and accurate customer credit records
• Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Utilize knowledge in Full Cycle Accounting and Accrual Accounting for data processing
• Perform auditing tasks as needed
• Handle transactions through the Automated Clearing House (ACH)
• Use ADP - Financial Services and Concur for account coding and other financial services.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the Accounts Payable department.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as SAP and BlueCherry ERP.
• Demonstrable experience with ADP - Financial Services.
• Solid understanding and experience with account coding.
• Familiarity with Concur for expense management.
• Proven ability to process large volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and accrual accounting practices.
• Previous experience in auditing, particularly within an Accounts Payable context.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
• Experience with full cycle accounting, including month-end and year-end processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on financial data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA, is an advantage.
