JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team. In this entry-level role, you will support the day-to-day financial transactions of the company, focusing on maintaining accurate records of receivables and payables. Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:

  • Process, verify, and post customer payments accurately and timely.
  • Generate and send out invoices to clients.
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Assist with the preparation of aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts.Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues or payment discrepancies.

Accounts Payable:

  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices.
  • Reconcile statements and verify vendor accounts.
  • Prepare and process payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in maintaining vendor files and managing vendor relationships.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.

General:

  • Assist with month-end closing tasks and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all transactions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any financial discrepancies.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
