Description:

We are looking for an AR Office Coordinator to join our collaborative Finance department in Dartmouth, NS. Reporting to the AR Lead, this role is responsible for Head Office reception duties and certain Accounts Receivable Associate duties.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • General office administration courses at the college level an asset
  • Experience in an office position, preferably in a finance environment
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable an asset
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with ERP’s and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Answers main switchboard phone and distributes calls as needed
  • Distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail
  • Processes credit card payments, sorts main email inbox and responds to basic requests for additional information
  • Conducts daily data entry of Cheques and Bank Deposits
  • Prepares and makes daily electronic bank deposits
  • Monitors internal ticket system, distributes & resolves tickets as quickly as possible
  • Contacts customers on overdue accounts and resolves outstanding issues delaying payment in a timely manner
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on calls and interactions with customers
