Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the automotive industry, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The role involves meticulous tracking of daily shipments and payments, creating invoices, and managing customer accounts. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity that provides the chance to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Efficiently process credit applications from customers
• Keep track of daily shipments and payments with precision
• Generate proforma invoices using Microsoft Excel
• Send out invoice copies and payment histories as required
• Post and clear payments accurately
• Update management on a daily basis
• Manage past dues until they are fully paid
• Provide support to the team as and when needed
• Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel, Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Applications, Automotive Industry, SAP, Collections - Commercial, and Cash Activity
• Must possess at least 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Cash Applications is essential.
• Prior experience in the Automotive Industry is desirable.
• Knowledge of SAP software is a plus.
• Experience in Collections - Commercial is preferred.
• Must be able to manage Cash Activity effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Must possess problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Candidates should have a firm understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must be able to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
