Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in BIRMINGHAM, Alabama. The primary function of this role is to handle various accounting tasks within the printing industry.

• Manage accounts receivable and perform full cycle AR tasks
• Generate and distribute invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Collaborate with the sales team in invoice review and approval processes
• Handle and post customer payments to the appropriate accounts
• Possibly take over follow up and collections processes from the sales team in the future
• Run daily and weekly aging and AR reports
• Participate in the scanning and digital archiving of customer invoices
• Be prepared to handle a substantial amount of paperwork
• Utilize accounting software systems such as Great Plains or QuickBooks for various tasks
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting department with a proactive approach and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Accounting Functions
• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge of Billing Functions
• Experience in Cash Handling
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is a plus
• Familiarity with MS Great Plains Accounting is highly preferred
