Description:

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team located in Wayne, New Jersey. The role is part of the finance industry and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing accounts receivable systems, processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage accounts receivable systems to ensure efficient processing of customer applications.
  • Maintain and update customer credit records regularly to ensure accuracy.
  • Process customer credit applications with precision and speed.
  • Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary actions based on account status.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure all accounting activities align with the overall financial goals of the organization.
  • Identify discrepancies in customer accounts and work to rectify them swiftly.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable process.
  • Proficiency in accounts receivable systems
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to prepare and maintain financial reports
  • Experience with data entry and administrative tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with financial software is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
