How you make a difference:
The Accreditation and Ops Compliance Specialist supports state-wide facility compliance to meet contract, accreditation, and regulatory standards, and achieve demonstrated best practice client care and safety outcomes. Overall responsibilities include conducting inspections and audits to monitor standards compliance, assisting departments with data collection, tracking and trending to monitor performance of processes and systems, and implementation of appropriate improvement actions, when indicated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts audits and inspections to ensure that service provision and documentation meet contract requirements, regulatory standards, and applicable policies and procedures.
- Creates, maintains, and reviews spreadsheets to track compliance with ACA compliance indicators, and assists with preparing and maintaining unit accreditation files.
- Prepares for and responds to internal facility self-assessments and audits to monitor ongoing performance and effectiveness, and provides technical assistance related to accreditation across all operational areas.
- Coordinates and prepares for external audit activities, including submitting responses and corrective action plans and following up on outstanding items from client contract audits, corporate audits, and audits by accreditation or regulatory bodies.
- Assists in planning, researching, collecting, and analyzing documentation related to accreditation and policies, utilizing organizational systems for on-site audits by the American Correctional Association every three years.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or Licensed Healthcare Certificate RN/LPN preferred
Experience
- Requires a minimum of experience working in a healthcare, correctional, security, forensic facility, or secure setting.
- Preferred: 2 years’ experience working in a compliance or related position.
Licenses/Certifications
- Preferred: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
