JOB SUMMARY

The AGX Lab Supervisor will have oversight of the AGX Lab which is a contract testing microbial identification laboratory using DNA Sequencing and MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry techniques. They will be required to perform administrative, coordination & supervisory tasks as well as drive efficiencies and improvements. They must demonstrate the Charles River values.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. /B.S.) in Microbiology / Biology or a related discipline.
An established track record of related experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated industry desirable attained post qualification.
Demonstrable evidence of supervisory experience is essential.
Experience working in a GMP or regulated environment preferred.
Good level of IT Skills including Microsoft Office, LIMS and QMS software programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the coordinating and scheduling of the workflow and activities within the AGX department.
  • Ensure optimal department productivity and performance to achieve KPI’s.
  • Lead and support the implementation of continuous improvement projects and methods to enhance operations efficiency.
  • Drive adherence to regulatory requirements, GMP, ISO, and to department SOP’s.
  • Lead the development and communication of departmental systems, SOPs.
  • Manage performance of team members. Provide regular coaching counselling to encourage employee development.
  • Manage employee relations issues within the team.
  • Responsible to complete probation and performance reviews.
  • Identify training and development needs of the team. Participate in the development, implementation and delivery of departmental training programs, ensure that team members receive departmental orientation and necessary on-the-job training.
  • Responsible for the recruitment process and onboarding new hires.
  • Manage QMS records to ensure completed within required timelines.
  • Responsible for compliance to EHS training and regulations, drive safety first philosophy.
  • Ensure team members complete training assigned in Talent Hub and Smart Solve within required timelines.
  • Drive employee engagement and CRL DNA values within the team.
  • Represent the Company in internal and external audits as required.
