ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our Ladies Buying team at our head office in Ville Saint-Laurent. You’ll curate top footwear styles for Browns and B2 stores, as well as our website. This is a unique opportunity to shape Browns’ footwear and accessory offerings through product selection, market research, and collaboration with vendors and internal teams. You’ll also lead and mentor fellow buyers, ensuring strategies align with seasonal goals and customer demand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Select product assortments based on fashion trends, market demand, and customer preferences for Browns and B2 stores, as well as the website.
- Lead and collaborate with buyers and coordinators, providing strategic direction, feedback, and insights.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing, delivery schedules, and favorable payment terms.
- Develop seasonal buying strategies based on budgets, sales metrics, customer profiles, and overall business goals.
- Conduct market research to monitor competitor activity, identify trends, and spot new business opportunities.
- Accurately forecast future product needs and inventory requirements.
- Visit stores to gather customer feedback and inform buying decisions.
- Collaborate with the buying team to create strategies for new product offerings, in-store merchandising, and promotional events.
- Attend trade shows, showroom appointments, and factory visits to source new products and establish vendor relationships.
