ERM are seeking a Principal Technical Consultant to lead and grow our Acoustics team in Onshore Renewables & Infrastructure, Capital Project Delivery. Hybrid working available from any of our
16 UK offices
.
The current strategy is heavily focused on renewables (wind, solar, battery storage, grid connection, hydrogen, carbon capture), however the team work in multiple sectors including industrial development, construction, transport, road and rail – both in the UK and internationally. We are particularly looking to add additional Onshore Wind skills and experience to the team with this role. This a great opportunity to join and develop a growing small close-knit team.
In this senior, strategic, client-facing role, you will support the delivery of the high-quality noise and vibration assessments and services we provide. You will use your skills to provide technical support and expert advice to our clients, helping them to deliver the Low Carbon Economy Transition.
You will be leading technical work streams and supporting commercial development through bid work, helping us grow our market share. You will collaborate with technical teams and project managers around the business, in order to identify any potential noise issues and if these may impact on design and other parts of the EIA. You will also support team development, driving technical excellence within the team by coaching, mentoring and completing technical reviews of the teams work.

About you
You’ll be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in similar roles, leading the delivery of acoustics assessments, on time and to budget. UK Onshore Wind experience is essential.
You’ll be degree qualified in Acoustics or similar and possess a solid understanding of acoustic principles along with the ability to write clear, concise reports. You’ll have commercial acumen along with experience of bid preparation/business development with new or existing key clients.
