We are a family run business and have been working with adults with dementia, learning disabilities and mental health difficulties for over 30 years.
As a family run business we know that our success and reputation has been all down to the hard work of our team. We are now looking for an Activities Coordinator to join our team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
There are no specific qualifications needed for this role, although experience in an activities or care role would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:
· Create an engaging activities schedule with our existing Activities Coordinator, taking into account service user preference. This includes excursions, holiday and seasonal parties, and activities for both individuals and groups.
· Encourage involvement in the local community and interaction with staff and other service users.
· Consistently review and adapt activities and the activity programme to ensure it best meets the needs of our service users.
· Request resources which are beneficial for activities from the home manager.
· Ensure each of our service users has the opportunity to participate in activities which are of genuine interest to them;
· Document activities that were undertaken or refused by service users;
· Update care notes to say what a person is interested in
You will also be expected to alert the manager and other staff when there are concerns about a person’s mood, changes in participation, or anything else that could be concerning.
Please note that there may be some service users who require a wheelchair and would need to be pushed by the Actvities Co-ordinator on excursions
