We are a specialist residential care facility for people with dementia and have an exciting opportunity for you! The home has been awarded a ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Care Quality Commission and we pride ourselves on a quality and continuous improvement culture.
You may be already experienced in working in residential setting or looking to start your first job. If so, this job may be right for you. Full training and support will be provided to develop your superpowers – from your induction and throughout your career.
The successful applicant will be part of a team responsible for planning and facilitating a programme of therapeutic and recreational activities to our service users to stimulate their minds and bodies.
The Old School House works closely with outside organisations and agencies as we “welcome the community to The Old School House” You will as an activity coordinator be expected to play a part in developing and facilitating links within the community which bring about positive results for our service users.
The work is challenging but extremely rewarding. If you like working with people, and have a desire to improve the quality of life of older people in residential care, this post could be for you.
You will use your positiveness and compassion to help others to provide high quality care and support that enables residents to achieve the best quality of life. You will be part of a large professional team, and as an Activities Co-ordinator you will have a varied working day supporting all residents to maintain daily living skills and to develop new ones.
18 hour role available, (6 hours daily over 4 days, including some weekends and bank holidays)
