Description:

Meadowbrook Care Center is seeking an experienced full-time Activity Aide for our facility to perform activity functions as assigned; must be able to work a flexible schedule; position requires some weekends and evenings. Activity Aide will be responsible for running activities, creating flyers and other materials, shopping for supplies, assisting with calendar preparation, and many other duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF Activity Aide:

  • Lead scheduled activities programs that inspire spiritual, cognitive, social, physical and creative expressions
  • Assist with the organizing, planning and implementation of programs and opportunities that promote resident well-being
  • Enthusiastically promote and communicate programs and events to residents and
  • Passionately motivate and serve residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities
  • Interact with families and visitors of our residents

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS OF Activity Aide:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Prior experience as activity assistant
  • Prior experience in Long-Term Care/Healthcare is preferred

SKILLS AND QUALITIES OF Activity Aide: All qualified applicants should possess the following qualities:

  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to respect all members of the healthcare team
  • Solid work history with excellent attendance and punctuality and
  • Patience, understanding and compassion for those requiring our care.
