QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualified Diversional Therapist or current student studying Diversional Therapy (preferred).
  • Experience working with individuals with dementia (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creative and empathetic approach to developing activities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and creative Activities and Lifestyle Coordinator to join our Special Care Unit. This is a Part Time position working Friday and Saturday 0930 am to 1800 pm.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diversional therapy, with a preference given to those who are qualified Diversional Therapists or students currently studying Diversional Therapy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement engaging and therapeutic activities tailored to the needs of our residents.
  • Foster a stimulating and supportive environment that promotes social interaction and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to assess and monitor residents’ individual needs and preferences.
  • Encourage participation in activities that enhance cognitive, physical, and emotional health.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of activities and residents’ progress.
