Description:
JOB SUMMARY (12 MONTH CONTRACT)
- You will have the opportunity to liaise with colleagues across the SCOR group
- The APAC Reserving team is based in SCOR’s offices in Singapore, Sydney, Beijing and Seoul, and covers both Life & Health and Property & Casualty business. This includes business written in c.30 countries and 13 legal entities in the region. We are a diverse and engaged team, providing expert actuarial analysis and insight for our stakeholders. The department is led by the Head of L&H Reserving for Asia Pacific.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of relevant working experience in insurance / reinsurance fields. Open to fresh graduates with relevant degrees and internship experience.
- Good understanding of financial reporting and valuation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Prophet software.
- Experience in programming is a plus
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field with a strong quantitative orientation.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in quarterly RBC2 production and MAS results for SSE Singapore Branch
- Assist in annual SSE SG Branch IWST/ ORSA production.
- Assist in the quarterly production and consolidation settlement statements for retrocession and perform BEL and IFRS reconciliation
- Continuously improve and/or automate reserving processes, analysis and controls
- Update and enhance documentation including methodlogy and process manual
- Assist in external audi t process
- Support the wider team on various projects such as process enhancements, modelling improvements and data management.
