Description:
To be part of a team to deliver of an Acute Oncology Nursing Service To monitor, evaluate and implement the highest standards of researched based care. To undertake specific projects at the request of the Acute Oncology (AO) Clinical Nurse Specialists. To participate in the delivery of an Acute Oncology Service assessing, offering advice /treatment plans and evaluations of care. To review and implement care plans for patients presenting with acute oncology emergencies e.g.
MSCC. To administer urgent Systematic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT). To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries
