Description:

Specialist Nurse Practitioner/Non-Medical Prescriber –– Children and Young People’s ADHD and ASD Diagnostic Service
Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for experienced practitioners to work within the CYP ADHD and ASD Service (CYPAAS) . The team operate on a county-wide basis and contribute to multi-disciplinary, comprehensive diagnostic assessments for children and young people with suspected ADHD and ASD, in addition to medication treatment for children diagnosed with ADHD.
The successful applicant will be part of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team who work closely with CAMHS, Paediatrics, Education, Educational Psychology and other services. The post holder will contribute to diagnostic assessments for children and young people living within Northamptonshire who may have a developmental condition, and provide consultancy and advice to other services on appropriate management strategies.
As a Non – Medical prescriber you will also be involved in managing a caseload of children that require medication management relating to their ADHD symptoms.
The post- holder will be nominally based at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kettering and will also be required to travel to various other destinations across Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will also benefit from being part of a supportive group of clinicians working across a wide range of specialities. Professional development is very much valued and the post holder will have access to regular supervision and training opportunities.
