Job Description
The Department of Teacher & Bilingual Education at Texas A&M University-Kingsville invites applications for the position of adjunct instructor. Duties will include teaching EDED 3316 Teaching Social Studies in Elementary Schools in a hybrid setting, and preparing/tutoring teacher candidates for the TExES exams (391 and 118).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Earned a master’s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in education, curriculum and instruction, or related areas from an accredited university. Candidates need to understand the importance of standard-based and competency-based instruction.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Possess a valid Texas teaching certificate(s) and have at least 3 years of successful teaching experience in public school.
The successful candidate will be assigned to teach on the Kingsville campus and/or the TAMUK Citrus Center at Weslaco, which would require driving to the off-campus site for no more than 8 class meetings during a semester.
